RE: Please, we need your prayers: UPDATE.

Gentle hugs to you and your family as you grieve your loss and celebrate the time you had with Lexi.
Looking forward to seeing her in the new earth . . .
Please be good to yourselves (try to eat and try to rest) and patient with each other, and allow yourselves to grieve.
Cherish your memories, and share them.
With heartfelt condolences,
-- D

RE: TT why would you want one?

Sounds wonderful, glad you're enjoying it so much (life's small 'awakenings' or light bulb moments are good. :)).
Wishing you more good camping times ahead.

RE: MH with a history

Sorry, although dh did chat with the owner, he obtained more of the unit's history rather than the nuts-and-bolts details. :)
Here's two more pics:

MH with a history

This rig parked near us recently at a bluegrass festival.
Owner says the Mayor of Garden Grove owned it in '61, and that Bobby Kennedy stumped for his brother from its back 'porch.'
Didn't get to see the inside. :(

Not for that price. :)
Found it several places, doing an online search, but lowest price was $139.99.
Good luck! :)

RE: Interior night lights

I bought two battery-powered, vanilla-scented candles from Camping World.
They're just the right amount of light, smell good and they flicker much like a real candle.
Some good ideas here, thanks! :)

RE: Do you sew? I desperately need rv curtain help!

Take some examples of the strips/pieces and fabric to your local fabric store and get the advice of some of the veteran seamstresses there.
They may have an alternate system that is easier to work with.
Or, have you checked out Camping World? They may have something helpful.
Good luck!

RE: I've got RV envy.......

We call rigs like your dad's a "mother ship," as they dwarf our 'little' 30ft TT!!
Start humming the theme from Star Wars . . . :D :D

Had no idea/if I only had the $$$$$!

Just realized there are Class A Toyhaulers!
Now, when dh and I retire, I think THAT would work for us!
Park the Mini Cooper in the garage area (or, if it's too long --- ? ? ? ? -- get a Smart Car) = no tow bar, no towing issues!
Then drive off!
Plenty of room for the two of us. :)
Park for the nite or for a few days, unload the car from the garage for small trips and we're set.
As I said, WHEN WE RETIRE.
Not now, unfortunately.
And, who knows what will be available in 10 yr (which is closer to our retirement time) ? ! ? ! ? !
Happy Camping!

RE: Thanks fo fellow RV Netter

Nice of you to post this, Jason.
I have trouble remembering names too.
I think a lot of ppl on this board would be the first to help out a fellow RV'er, with nary a second thought; kind of an RV "pay it forward."
Happy camping!

RE: What a week! (Long Post)

Yes, we do know about work constraints. :)
We are musician hobbyists, and when ppl ask about programs during the day (instead of on weekends or evenings), we shrug and tell them we have "day jobs" to support our hobby. :)
We're usually too busy w/music on weekends to go camping a lot, mainly use the TT for 3-4 bluegrass festivals per year, for now.
But perhaps when we're retired . . . :) :)
I do love reading about other ppl's fun while camping! :)

RE: A Touching story

How very touching, indeed.
We all grieve in our own way.
I'm glad he's at least getting out, it would be so easy to sit at home by himself.
I hope he meets other friendly RV'ers and while no one will ever take his wife's place in his heart, other like-minded RV'ers can help him feel a part of something important and meaningful.
Thank you for sharing that. :)

RE: Are they afraid of the dark?

Where we camp*, putting a banjo on the table INVITES company, lol!
*At bluegrass festivals, where generator quiet time is strictly enforced, yet jamming is allowed till all hours. :D :D :D
(and watch what you say about banjo players, dh will hear you!! ;))
